Curriculum

Curriculum3

At Glasllwch we endeavour to provide our pupils with a broad, balanced and creative curriculum. Our standards are high and we encourage all pupils to aim for the stars. By immersing pupils in exciting activities and presenting a variety of learning opportunities, we encourage them to establish their own learning styles, to grow as individuals and to develop as life long learners.

Our creative curriculum allows us to deliver a skills based curriculum through projects that are chosen to stimulate and inspire learning. Pupils have an opportunity to shape their curriculum by having a say in what they want to learn, how they want to learn and how they want to record their findings.

Each project starts with a ‘wow’ factor, an event, visit or visitor designed to ‘hook’ pupils in, engage and interest them. Overviews are shared with pupils and parents at the beginning of each project so that learning can be supported at home. The partnership between home and school is vital if children are to flourish and to reach their full potential.
