Residential Visit to PGL Liddington
Year 6 had a fantastic time on their residential at PGL this week! They have all shown bravery, determination and perseverance, as well as brilliant team work skills encouraging and supporting their friends. They’ve enjoyed lots of fun activities including: abseiling, vertical challenge, giant swing, raft building and survivor! In addition, they’ve all shown excellent manners and have been great fun. All of the teachers are so proud of them!
A HUGE thank you to Miss Summers, Mr Burgess, Mrs Goldsworthy and Mrs Hall for giving up their time to take the children on the visit and for making it such a positive and memorable experience!
Fourteen Locks
Year 1 had a very exciting time visiting Fourteen Locks this week as part of their summer term enquiry project ‘How do things go and grow?’. The children engaged in a variety of learning experiences including: a mini-beast hunt, making observational drawings, photographing wildlife and investigating floating and sinking. Thank you to all those adults who helped make the visit a success.
KLA Tag Rugby Festival
Our Year 6 boys took part in the KLA Tag Rugby Festival at Rodney Parade. During the day the team played brilliantly, demonstrating excellent rugby skills throughout the tournament. Glasllwch came third place overall, having won four games they narrowly missing out in the semi-finals, losing 7-6 to a golden try! The team were recognised by the organisers for both the high quality of their play and their conduct on and off the pitch. Llongyfarchiadau! Diolch to those parents who supported with transport and made competing possible.
