A Glasllwch Child’s Christmas
This week we have continued to welcome our school community into school to enjoy our Year 3 to Year 6 Christmas performance of A Glasllwch Child’s Christmas! The children were absolutely fantastic – singing and dancing with confidence and enthusiasm! We are so proud of them all! Da iawn pawb!
A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr Cornelius for helping us with the music and singing, and to Ballet Cymru for working with the children to choreograph the dances – they were fabulous! Also, a massive thank you to all the staff for their hard work! A BIG thank you to all the parents who have provided costumes for the performances - the children all looked amazing! Thank you!
Panto at the Riverfront Theatre
The children and staff had a great time watching the production of ‘Rapunzel’ at The Riverfront Theatre on Thursday. ‘Oh yes we did!’ It really was a fabulous trip. Thank you to all our parent helpers!
PTA Winter Wonderland
Yesterday our school was buzzing with excitement as everyone enjoyed our PTA Winter Wonderland. Glasllwch’s school hall became a superb Winter Wonderland with a variety of activities for the children – making reindeer food, writing letters to Santa, decorating gingerbread men and visiting Santa in his Grotto. It really was fantastic! It was lovely to see so many people there to enjoy the Christmas craft activities, face painting, stalls and refreshments. A MASSIVE thank you to the PTA for all their hard work in making the event such a huge success! All money raised will be used to further improve provision within school. Diolch!
Also, a BIG thank you to all the parents/carers and businesses who donated raffle prizes – the Christmas Raffles were also a huge success!
Christmas Lunch
On Wednesday the children enjoyed their Christmas dinner. Thank you to Donna, Stevie and Summe from Chartwells who cooked the dinner and to the PTA who provided all the children with crackers! Diolch!
Extra-Curricular Activities
All of our extra-curricular activities have been well attended throughout this term, offering a wide variety of opportunities for the children to engage in a range of activities outside of school hours. These have included Netball, Rugby, Film and Choir. Thank you to all the staff who organised these activities.
In January you will receive an email about the extra-curricular activities that will be running during the Spring Term.
Christmas Parties
Next week we have planned Christmas Parties for all the children – Monday 15th for Nursery - Year 2 children and Tuesday 16th for Year 3 - Year 6 children. On their party days the children can come to school dressed in their party clothes. The children will play party games as well as enjoying some party food! Reception to Year 2 might be lucky and have a visit from Santa!
Upcoming Dates
Diary dates for the week ahead can also be found on our home page. Please visit our school calendar to access diary dates for the year ahead. We will continue to add dates to the calendar as we move through the school year.
Thank you in anticipation of you continued support and co-operation. The partnership we have between home and school is vital for the children to reach their full potential. We are very proud of the children and all they achieve.
Best wishes,
Mrs J. Munslow
