These are our current school improvement priorities:

Learning & Teaching - Improving Pedagogy | To further develop pedagogical approaches ensuring all learners are supported in developing learner effectiveness, increasing their self-motivation, self-regulation, resourcefulness, reflection and resilience in becoming ambitious capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives. |
Curriculum & Progression - Science & Technology | To refine and enrich our Science and Technology curriculum, with an emphasis on Design and Technology and Computer Science, to ensure progression, coherence and impactful learning experiences support learner progression, aligned with the principles of progression within Curriculum for Wales. |
Curriculum & Progression - Humanities | To design and implement a coherent, progressive Humanities curriculum that enables purposeful learning and supports learner progression, aligned with the principles of progression within Curriculum for Wales. |
The following action plans are also in place:
Wellbeing, Health & Equity Action Plan - including ongoing implementation of the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Wellbeing (WSAEMWB)
Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLE) Action Plan - linked to specific AoLEs: Health & Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Maths & Numeracy, Languages, Literacy and Communication.
Early Years Action Plan – including refinement of progression and assessment, phonics and the enabling adult.
Strategic Equalities Plan - including anti-racism, impact of poverty, wellbeing, anti-bullying, diversity, community partnerships, vulnerable learners
Our School Development Plan sets out the strategic aims for our school for the following three academic years. School improvement priorities are formed in response to ongoing self-evaluation involving all stakeholders.
