Odd Socks Day and Anti-Bullying Week

This week, our school proudly supported Odd Socks Day to celebrate individuality and promote kindness. Pupils and staff wore their brightest, mismatched socks to show that being different is something to be proud of! We also held a special anti-bullying assembly today, reminding everyone about the importance of respect and friendship. Next week, classes will take part in a range of engaging activities focused on anti-bullying, helping us all to create a safe and happy school environment.

Royal British Legion

Once again, this year we have supported the Poppy Appeal, raising money for the Royal British Legion. The Community Committee did a great job of selling poppies! Thank you everyone who supported this collection! Within school, the children have engaged in a variety of activities to support them in understanding why we mark Remembrance Day. We also held a whole school Remembrance Day assembly.

Children in Need

This year Children in Need was also organised by our Community Committee. All of the children came to school today wearing 'spotty' or Pudsey clothes and participated in Children in Need dance challenges. Thank you everyone who has donated to this very worthy cause! Donations can be made via ParentPay if you would like to donate and haven’t already done so. Diolch!

Thank you, Community Committee, for organising and supporting these charity events! Great job!

RSE Workshop

Thank you to everyone who attended our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Workshop on Monday. It was a great opportunity to share how we approach this important part of the curriculum and to explain how we help pupils develop the knowledge and skills they need for healthy, respectful relationships. We’re thrilled with the positive feedback and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality learning experiences for all our children.

Storm Claudia

Thank you to parents/carers for your co-operation in managing the impact of Storm Claudia. Whilst school remained open, the optional earlier collection time helped to help reduce traffic congestion caused by the localised flooding/surface water. Your understanding and flexibility ensured everything ran smoothly and kept everyone safe—we really appreciate your support. Diolch!

Colder Weather

As the weather is getting colder, please make sure your child wears a warm coat to school with a hat and gloves to wear during playtimes and lunchtimes. Please ensure all items are labelled.

Reminders…

We would like to take this opportunity to share a few reminders:

  • Y3-6 Ballet Cymru voluntary contributions via ParentPay – thank you for your support!

  • Y3-6 Ballet Cymru sessions Monday and Tuesday next week – please wear PE kit.

Any of the following donations would be appreciated: cardboard boxes (wrapped up as presents), any unwanted Christmas decorations, teddies and board games.

Welsh Phrase of the Week
