Y5 Curriculum Celebration
Thank you to all the parents/carers who joined us for the Year 5 Curriculum Celebration yesterday. It was wonderful to see the children showcasing their learning. The children performed their country dancing, played a number of musical pieces on their pennywhistles, and engaged with parents to demonstrate their hockey skills. There was also an opportunity for the children to share their digital portfolios with their adult. Da iawn pawb!
Diolch Mrs Scott
A big thank you to Mrs Scott who visited Year 4 this week to talk to the children about her job as Head of Multi-modal Transportation at Transport for Wales. She discussed how she arrived at her career, her growth mindset within her job and how to make a successful project plan. The children really enjoyed learning about the world of work – diolch!
Community Forum
A big thank you to all those who attended our recent Community Forum meeting. We would really love to see more faces at our future sessions! We really value the feedback and input that families offer at the forum and we use this to inform practice and protocols at our school. Thank you for your continued support.
Christmas Parties
Christmas Parties this year will take place on Monday 15th December for Nursery – Year 2 and Tuesday 16th December for Year 3-6. On their party days the children can come to school dressed in their party clothes. The children will play party games as well as enjoying some party food!

If you know of somewhere or someone you could ask for a raffle donation, or are happy to donate something yourself that can be used as a prize that would be amazing!
Please could all raffle prizes be handed into the school office by the end of November, thank you.
Healthy Schools
As you are aware, one of our school policies is that during morning break we allow the children to have a snack of either a piece of fruit, chopped up fruit or chopped up vegetables; Reception to Year 2 children are also offered a carton of milk in school. We are concerned that a few children are coming to school with cereal bars or other snacks and in some cases without a snack. Please support us by sending your child to school with fruit or vegetables. Thank you for your support in this. We also ask that no nut products are sent to school, please remember this with snacks and sandwich fillings. Thank you.
Christmas Concerts
Thank you to all those who have purchased tickets for our Christmas Concerts. Any remaining tickets will be re-released on Monday next week on a first come first served basis.
Colder Weather
As the weather is getting colder, please make sure your child wears a warm coat to school with a hat and gloves to wear during playtimes and lunchtimes. Please ensure all items are labelled.
Welsh Phrase of the Week
‘Beth wnaethoch chi ar yr penwythnos?’ – ‘What did you do on the weekend?’
Upcoming Dates
Diary dates for the week ahead can also be found on our home page. Please visit our school calendar to access diary dates for the year ahead. We will continue to add dates to the calendar as we move through the school year.
